Welcome to Sunset Resort Lake Tawakoni, a gated waterfront resort offering RV sites, park models, and cabins with scenic lake views and direct access to fishing and boating. Under new ownership since 2024, we've invested in meaningful improvements, including paved roads, refreshed landscaping, and upgraded pool and clubhouse facilities, creating a clean, comfortable place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Whether you're visiting for a weekend or an extended stay, you'll find amenities designed for convenience, including free Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, onsite propane, storage options, a clubhouse, weekly activities, and a pet-friendly environment. Open 24 hours with quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM, Sunset Resort provides a peaceful lakeside setting where you can unwind and make the most of everything Lake Tawakoni has to offer.

My husband and I spent 4 wonderful months at this sweet campground. Had a wonderful stay. Dusty in the office is very friendly and helpful to address any of our needs. This campground has the most spectacular sunsets out of any campground we have visited. Highly recommend 👌

Really nice place, we got a spot right next to the water. Where we could throw some line out and fish. The place is secure and very peaceful. If you are looking for a spot to park your camper that is quiet, secure and peaceful this is the spot for you. Looking foward to our next visit

One of the best RV sites we’ve visited. Amazing location right on the lake, super helpful and friendly staff. It’s very quiet and secure with the gate at the front. They also have a pool, but we visited in the winter, I’m sure in the summer it’s amazing to be able to cool off. Would recommend this place for anyone looking for a weekend or long term getaway.
