About The Park
Welcome to Sunset Resort Lake Tawakoni
Sunset Resort sits directly on Lake Tawakoni, with waterfront RV sites, park models, and cabins that look out over the water instead of neighboring rows. Since new ownership took over in 2024, our focus has been on making big improvements to the property, from paved roads and cleaned-up landscaping to updates to the pool and clubhouse. We’re a relaxed, well-maintained park where you can enjoy the lake, take part in weekly activities, or simply settle in and enjoy where you are. We’re excited to host you!
A Stunning Lakefront Location
Sunset Resort is located directly on Lake Tawakoni, with shoreline access built into the property. Being positioned between quieter inlets and open water means you can fish from the bank, launch a boat nearby, or simply enjoy wide lake views without feeling boxed in by neighboring parks or homes. The layout of the park follows the shoreline, so many sites and cabins face the water rather than interior roads. The gated entrance keeps traffic limited to guests, which helps the park stay calm and comfortable while still giving you immediate access to the lake throughout the day.
Long-Term Stays Welcome
Sunset Resort is well suited for long-term stays, with a mix of RV sites, waterfront cabins, and park model options available. Many of the amenities are designed with longer stays in mind, including a clubhouse, laundry facilities, free Wi-Fi, storage options, and planned weekly activities that make it easy to get to know your neighbors. The gated property, landscaped grounds, and lake views create a comfortable place to settle in and propane is also available onsite.
